identify how conflict used to convey key ideas
Conflict is throughout the play of romeo and juliet. Whether it’s between the families or characters the play has two types of conflicts. internal conflicts and external conflicts the external conflicts like the feud between the families has a massive effect on the story and shapes the play. These conflicts also tell us how the characters are feeling internal conflict or are effected externally by conflicts. The external conflicts shape and create the internal conflicts there for conveying the tragedy and love in the play. If there was no external conflict between the families the play wouldn’t be the same it would be a boring cliche love story. In summary the external conflicts are connected to the internal conflicts in many ways shaping the story and adding layers to the play the conflicts convey ideas such as the stories love and hate relationships.
This quote shows how much information and meaning can be compressed into a single line and Shakespeare’s depth in his writing. The quote is a metaphor that means to lovers brought together by fate like the stars have aligned and they take their lives.
